About Kayakalp
Kayakalp is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) launched in 2015 as an extension of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Its primary aim is to improve cleanliness, hygiene, waste management, infection control practices, and eco-friendly health facilities. Facilities that demonstrate exemplary performance are recognized and incentivized.

About Swachh Swasth Sarvatra
-
Swachh Swasth Sarvatra (SSS) is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Launched in 2016, this program focuses on integrating community sanitation with healthcare facility cleanliness and hygiene, particularly in open defecation free (ODF) regions.

Strengthen public health centres and surrounding communities in achieving and sustaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Promote behavioural change to support ODF maintenance and hygienic practices.

Facilitate convergence between health facilities and community sanitation initiatives.
